You've failed to mention that one of the rookies that ART have signed is Jules Bianchi, Euro F3 champion - in an ART, I fancy him to take the title! In GP3 I reckon that Alexander Rossi will be the one to watch - he's clearly being groomed as a future USF1 driver (if they stay in the sport long enough), and he's driving for...ART.

hhmmm, I already read it somewhere last year

searching!!

Found it.

Van der Garde joins Barwa Addax
18 November 2009

Giedo van der Garde has confirmed a deal to race with the Barwa Addax team in the GP2 Main Series of 2010. The Dutchman, who moves from iSport after taking victory on three occasions this year, is preparing for a title attack with the Spanish team.

Having endured a difficult start to the 2009 campaign before coming good on several occasions during the second half of the season, the Netherlands man's signing at the outfit comes courtesy of a successful performance in Jerez testing during the second week of last month.

Finishing this season as top rookie behind Champion Nico Hülkenberg, van der Garde raced to wins in Belgium, Hungary and Italy which translated to a total of 34 points and seventh overall in the final standings.

"I believe the Barwa Addax team has everything to enable me to develop and get the best out of my talent," 24-year-old Giedo commented. "During the test, I immediately felt that the team and car suited me perfectly. We have a lot of confidence moving forward and the belief that we can fight for the championship!"

"We are very happy to have Giedo on-board for the Main Series in 2010," added Team Principal Alejandro Agag. "The test in October showed that Giedo is a very capable driver and is able to achieve extremely impressive times in our car. With Giedo we will fight for the championship!"

GP2 News
Christian Vietoris will drive for Fat Burner Racing engineering in 2010, the german driver scored a gp2 win at abu dhabi last year and partners the already confirmed (just so that cesko cant find fault with my post's :D ) Daniel Clos.

Rumours
Nick Heidfield and Valtteri Bottas may be placed in GP2 this year by their employers (mercedes, williams) in order to keep their racecraft as sharp as possible. There are around 7 places available.

I can see why mercedes would do that, think about it, what is the closest thing to an f1 car? a gp2 car! Where could he keep a strong racecraft against other f1 hopefuls? GP2!
and anyway i am certain that he will win the british super a karting championship

I think by now Nick Heidfeld must weigh about the same as a kart  He should just retire and go to DTM. To be fair he's not a bad driver, just not a great one, definitely better than some of the drivers on the grid (de la Rosa for a start), so I think he will be back...just don't know where!
